Human rights experts at the United Nations have stated that Pakistan’s recent attacks on Afghanistan violate international law and constite a clear violation of civilians’ right to life.

According to a statement issued in Geneva, the Pakistani regime’s attacks constitute clear acts of aggression, with Islamabad failing to present any evidence to justify its actions.

The experts stressed that these attacks are in violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter, noting that the right to self-defense can only be invoked in response to a prior attack.

The statement also noted that, concerning attacks linked to the Pakistani Taliban, Pakistan has so far failed to present credible evidence proving that these operations were orchestrated from Afghan territory.

The experts called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, urging both sides to adhere to international law, protect civilians, and intensify efforts to end the violence.
