Sources in Pakistan have informed Voice of Hindukush that fighters from the Pakistani Taliban have captured three security personnel, including a Pakistan Army soldier and a soldier from the Frontier Corps (FC), during a series of operations in Jirwar village, located in the Tunsa Sharif area of Dera Ghazi Khan district in southern Punjab.

According to the sources, the three security personnel were taken to an undisclosed location after their capture.

Security and political analysts in Pakistan have expressed concern over the incident, viewing it as a troubling indicator of the increasing activities of the Pakistani Taliban, not just in Punjab but across the country. The event is seen as a growing challenge for the government.
