The Pakistani Taliban has released a statement claiming responsibility for 259 attacks carried out last month, resulting in 385 casualties among Pakistani military and police forces.
According to the statement, 175 Pakistani security personnel were killed, 210 were wounded, and nine were taken captive in these attacks.
The group stated that most of the operations took place in South Waziristan and Khyber regions, adding that the operations included long-range strikes, laser-guided attacks, guerrilla raids, ambushes, and counteroffensive attacks,
The Pakistani Taliban further claimed to have seized a significant cache of military equipment and weapons during these operations, including 11 Kalashnikov rifles, five G3 rifles, four vehicles, two motorcycles, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one pistol, and a surveillance camera.
Additionally, the Pakistani Taliban claimed that their fighters destroyed 61 surveillance cameras, 18 military vehicles, seven military outposts and command centers, two motorcycles, two internet boosters, and one armored vehicle belonging to Pakistani security forces.
The statement also noted that the Pakistani Taliban recently launched a new spring operation, named “Al-Khandaq,” across Pakistan, which remains ongoing.
