Local sources told the Voice of Hindukush that Pakistani Taliban ambushed a military convoy in the “Badar Dara” area of South Waziristan, killing 12 soldiers and seriously injuring 4 others.

The Pakistani Taliban Movement claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that their fighters also seized a large number of weapons.

According to reports, this is the deadliest attack in South Waziristan since December 2024.

At that time, the Pakistani Taliban had killed 16 soldiers in a similar attack in the same area.
