Ittehad al-Mujahideen Pakistan, a faction of the Pakistani Taliban, has claimed responsibility for seizing the “Kako Ziarat” military post in Orakzai district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement, the group said its fighters killed nine Pakistani soldiers during the attack and took one captive.

According to the statement, their fighters seized a DShK heavy machine gun, an MG-1, a mortar, four Kalashnikov rifles, and a drone aircraft, along with other military equipment, from the captured post.
