The Pakistani Taliban, in a recent statement pointing to the case of Mohsin Dawar, accused Pakistan’s security agencies of using their puppets for their own objectives.

They claim that when these individuals are no longer in use, security agencies spread fake security threats to discredit them, often leading to their elimination. The statement further added that these recent threats signal that the security agencies no longer need Dawar and intend to get rid of him.

The group clarified, “If we wanted to eliminate someone, we would openly announce it. Attacking from behind goes against our honorable traditions.”

They also rejected claims from Pakistan’s intelligence and security agencies that the Afghan government had arranged funds for Dawar’s assassination, calling it propaganda, and emphasized that their goals are clear.
