Umar Media, the Pakistani Taliban’s media outlet, released a video claiming that they executed an alleged military spy following a ruling by their court.
According to the statement, the individual had been involved in sedating several Pakistani Taliban members in the Lachi Baragdi area of Kohat. The group said he was detained, subjected to a thorough investigation, and subsequently executed.
In a separate statement, the outlet confirmed the killing of another spy, Rahim Nawaz, who was reportedly involved in both the assassination of Pakistani Taliban members and covert operations against the group. According to the report, he was targeted and killed in the Miryan area of Bannu district the previous day.
Pakistani military authorities have so far remained silent regarding these reports.
