Reports indicate that Pakistan’s largest new international airport is in a deteriorating state, Since its inauguration, the airport has seen an absence of both flights and passengers.

This airport, located in the coastal city of Gwadar in the Balochistan province, has been fully funded by China, with a construction cost of $240 million.

Gwadar, a city frequently targeted by Baloch separatists, is often the site of attacks on Pakistani military forces, Chinese companies, Chinese nationals, and other security agencies associated with the Pakistani government.

These ongoing attacks and instability in the region are cited as the main reasons for the lack of flights and passengers to the airport.

It is worth noting that this newly built airport is part of a multi-billion-dollar project known as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
