The Panjshir provincial media office announced that on Tuesday, 2,539 carats of emeralds were sold through an open auction, amounting to $347,850.

The auction attracted both local traders and Chinese investors, demonstrating growing interest in the province’s mineral resources.

Panjshir Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim stated that the investment and trade opportunities emerging in the region are expected to contribute significantly to the revival of the local economy.
