The Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs said public meetings were held in several districts of Kunduz, Panjshir, Maidan Wardak, Faryab, Samangan and Balkh provinces to discuss the implementation of Sharia rulings, strengthen coordination with local communities and hear people’s concerns.
The meetings, organized by the ministry’s local offices, were attended by tribal elders, religious scholars, community representatives, youths and local officials.
Participants pledged to cooperate in maintaining security and social order and raised concerns and requests regarding public services, local development and community needs.
After hearing the participants’ concerns, ministry officials stressed the need for close coordination between local communities and authorities to ensure the proper implementation of Sharia rulings and strengthen unity among the people.
The officials also briefed participants on the Law on the Preservation of Jihadi Heritage and Values and the need to comply with the leadership’s decrees No. 13 and 17.
