    Regular Meeting of the Economic Commission Held Under the Leadership of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar

    A regular meeting of the Economic Commission was held today (Tuesday, 5th of Hoot) at the Marble Palace, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

    The Office of the Economic Deputy stated that during the meeting, the Ministry of Finance presented and received approval for a report on new revenue-generating opportunities.

    According to the report, the Ministry of Finance will identify new opportunities to increase revenues across various sectors. Following the approval and endorsement of relevant proposals for each opportunity, the Afghan government is expected to generate approximately 60 billion Afghanis in additional long-term revenue.

    During the meeting, 12 draft domestic standards and 11 testing procedures submitted by the Standards and Quality Authority were also approved.

    These procedures relate to construction materials, electrical and medical equipment and tools, textiles, plastics, dairy products, and testing methods concerning food and agricultural products.
