Mehr News Agency, citing Doug Bandow, an American researcher at the Cato Institute, reported that the Iran war has exposed potential tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to Bandow, Trump may have felt that Netanyahu misled him and failed to deliver on promises of a swift victory in the conflict. He said the prolonged war and its growing military and political costs could prompt Trump to seek a quicker exit from the crisis.
The American analyst added that the relationship between the two leaders is largely driven by political calculations rather than personal loyalty.
