    Reuters News Agency: Trump Plans to Ease Sanctions on Russia

    A U.S. official has told Reuters that the United States is preparing a proposal to reduce sanctions on Russia.

    According to the Reuters report, Donald Trump is engaged in discussions aimed at restoring diplomatic relations and bringing an end to the war in Ukraine.

    The source stated that the White House has directed the State Department and the Treasury Department to prepare a list of sanctions that could soon be lifted from Russia.

    The sources also indicated that sanction officials are drafting a proposal to remove restrictions on Russian oligarchs and entities, among other specific individuals and organizations.

    The report further notes that Trump is actively trying to alter U.S. policy towards Russia.
