A rocket attack targeted Russia’s consulate in the French city of Marseille. French police reported that two rockets were fired; one exploded, causing no injuries. Consulate staff have been instructed to remain inside the building.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the area remains cordoned off by police.
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has called on France to take swift and comprehensive action regarding the incident.
