The Russian Embassy in Tehran announced today on Sunday that it has suspended its consular services in Iran. The decision comes amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.

The embassy stated that it is currently assessing the possibility of evacuating Russian nationals from Iran via land routes.

Meanwhile, in response to recent developments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a meeting in Tehran with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions.

During the meeting, he condemned the Israeli strikes as “illegal” and reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense. He also called on the international community to respect national sovereignty and regional security.
