Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Russian Embassy in Islamabad has issued a warning to its citizens, advising them to avoid traveling to Pakistan.

The embassy urged Russian nationals not to visit the country until the situation returns to normal.

The advisory comes in response to strained relations between the two countries and follows a series of warlike statements by some officials.

Tensions escalated after an attack on tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir that left 26 people dead.

New Delhi has blamed Pakistani groups for the incident and has issued threats of retaliation. In response, Pakistan’s Senate warned that any mistake or act by India against Pakistan would be met with a strong and decisive response.
