Arab media have reported that Saif-ul-Islam Gaddafi, the son of former Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi, was killed in an armed attack near the city of Zintan in Libya.
According to reports, four armed men attacked Saif-ul-Islam’s house and fled to an unknown location after the assault.
Sources told Al Arabiya that he also engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the attackers.
Saif-ul-Islam Gaddafi’s family members and associates have confirmed the news of his assassination but have not provided further details.
