Syria’s state news agency SANA reported that today, Sunday, SDF militias blew up two old bridges over the Euphrates River in areas of Raqqa province in northern Syria.

In a statement, the Syrian government also said that SDF and Kurdistan Workers’ Party (YPG) militias executed a number of prisoners while retreating from the city of Tabqa.

The Syrian government described these actions against detainees as war crimes and strongly condemned it.

The Syrian army and tribal fighters, in ongoing operations, have taken control of the strategic city of Tabqa on the outskirts of Raqqa province and several other key areas, and they continue to advance.
