In recent months, attacks targeting machinery and personnel at Balochistan’s large-scale mining projects have forced foreign companies to reconsider investing in the province.

According to Reuters, the Canadian company Barik Gold has launched a full-scale review of its major gold and copper project at Reko Diq in Balochistan.

Company officials said the decision comes in response to the worsening security situation in the region and the recent surge in security incidents.
