The Ministry of Interior Affairs stated that police in Baghlan Province seized 86 light and heavy weapons along with a large quantity of ammunition during intelligence-led and clearance operations conducted in various parts of the province.
The Head of Counterterrorism at the Baghlan Police Command said that the recovered weapons include 15 Kalashnikov rifles, 62 pistols, two PK machine guns, and several other weapons.
Additionally, a significant amount of ammunition was confiscated, including 1,700 rounds of Kalashnikov ammunition, 559 rounds of PK machine gun ammunition, 137 rounds of DShK ammunition, 116 rounds of Beretta ammunition, as well as other military equipment.
Local security officials emphasized that intelligence and clearance operations will continue to ensure public safety and that no one will be allowed to disrupt security.
