U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders has strongly condemned President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for Gaza, asserting that the region should be reconstructed for the Palestinian people rather than transformed into a commercial hub for the wealthy.
Addressing the humanitarian crisis, Sanders emphasized that 47,000 Palestinians have been killed and 111,000 injured. He criticized Trump for failing to take meaningful action, instead advocating for a plan that seeks to commercialize Gaza while displacing its residents.
Sanders reaffirmed that Gaza’s reconstruction must prioritize its residents and the Palestinian people—not serve as a luxury destination for billionaires.
