The spokesperson of the Afghan government, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, says that, based on a special decree issued by the leadership, a number of senior-level appointments have been made in various ministries and government institutions.
According to Mujahid, Mullah Abdullah Bashir, the former Deputy Minister for Technology and Logistics at the Ministry of Defense, has been appointed as Director General of the Standards and Quality Authority. Meanwhile, Mawlawi Mohammad Ali Jan, the former Deputy Minister for Jirgas, Ethnic Affairs, and Tribal Coordination at the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs, has been appointed as Deputy Minister for Technology and Logistics at the Ministry of Defense.
In addition, Mawlawi Hizbullah Afghan, the former Director General of Border Police, has been appointed Chief of Staff of the Senior Deputy Ministry at Ministry of Interior, while Mullah Abdul Rahim Ahmad, the former Chief of Staff of the Senior Deputy Ministry at Interior ministry, has been appointed as the Director General of Border Police.
Furthermore, Mullah Faizullah Tamim, the former Director General of the Standards and Quality Authority, has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of Zabul Province.
