    Syria Appoints Ibrahim Abdulmalik Alabi as Permanent Representative to the United Nations

    The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that President Ahmad al-Shara has appointed Ibrahim Abdulmalik Alabi as Syria’s Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary to the United Nations.

    Alabi holds dual citizenship of the United Kingdom and Germany and has advanced academic qualifications in law and public policy.

    He has previously served as an advisor to both the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Association of Lawyers.
