White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that the U.S. is engaged in ongoing discussions over a new ceasefire proposal for Gaza.
According to Reuters, the proposed plan includes a 60-day ceasefire between Hamas and the Zionist regime.
Leavitt expressed hope that this ceasefire would pave the way for de-escalation of the conflict and enable the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Hamas movement has accepted the proposal. Senior member of its leadership council, Basem Naim, stated that they are now awaiting a response from the Zionist regime.
