The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani has traveled to Baghdad on his first official visit, where he met with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, and other government officials.
According to the statement, Al-Shibani and Iraqi officials discussed economic, security, and other key matters, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
It is worth noting that this is the first visit by a Syrian foreign minister to Iraq since the rise to power of the Tahrir al-Sham movement in Syria.
