In a recent interview with a British podcast, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments calling for the displacement of Palestinians from their land, deeming them morally, politically, and humanely unacceptable.

He stated, “It is wrong, from the standpoint of human decency, political wisdom, and ethics, for Trump to call for the expulsion of Palestinians from their land.”

Al-Sharaa referred to this as a “grave injustice” and emphasized, “Not only is this request unfeasible, but no power on earth can compel people to abandon their homeland.” He pointed to the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, saying, “Despite the torture, killings, and destruction of war, they have steadfastly refused to leave their land, demonstrating their resilience and determination.”

The Syrian president highlighted that, over the past 80 years, there have been numerous attempts to displace Palestinians. However, their unwavering commitment to their land has served as a powerful testament to the fact that their struggle against forced migration and the abandonment of their homeland will never weaken.
