The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that the ministry’s deputy, Ahmadullah Zahid, has visited major textile manufacturing factories operating under the umbrella of the BKMEA company in Bangladesh.

During the visit, comprehensive discussions were held on Afghanistan’s cotton exports to Bangladesh and on expanding sustainable trade between the two countries.

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association expressed its interest in purchasing high-quality Afghan cotton and in establishing long-term trade relations.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce stated that Afghanistan has high-quality natural cotton, and if investment is made in processing and standards, it can secure a distinctive position in regional and global markets.
