The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced the completion of a 10-kilometer section of the TAPI gas pipeline within Afghanistan.
In a video statement, ministry spokesperson Homayun Afghan explained that work on the pipeline will progress more rapidly as the weather improves. He further emphasized that completing the TAPI project remains a top priority, with hopes for a swift completion.
The TAPI project, designed to transport gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India via Afghanistan, covers a total length of 1,840 kilometers.
The pipeline will pass through the provinces of Herat, Farah, Helmand, and Kandahar, offering employment opportunities to many local residents in these areas.
