The Defeat of the Power Bank Front in Nuristan and the Emergence of Internal Divisions

According to information received by the Voice of Hindukush, after the defeat of the Power Bank Front (so-called Freedom Front) in Kamdesh, Nuristan, a rift and division emerged within the front, which was subsequently resolved in an authoritarian manner by the ISI.

A commander of the Power Bank Front, Fazl Rabbi Khanjani, who led more than a hundred deceived individuals in Kamdesh, Nuristan, came with high hopes and secret plans, but upon descending to the battlefield, the situation changed for him. The initial deadly blows against them caused Khanjani to retreat back across the Durand Line with all his plans.

Based on the received information, Khanjani is facing severe anxiety after witnessing the defeat; since some members of the Power Bank Front are still trapped in some dangerous areas, he has requested emergency assistance from Commander Safi, a member of the Yasin Zia family and a military official in Chitral, for their rescue. Safi has told him, “I fought in Chitral toward Badakhshan for several months, but I did not suffer such heavy losses. How did you lose all these people in just one day?” This is unless you sold your fighters and made a deal with the Taliban; it has no other explanation.”

Sources have told to the Voice of Hindukush, that internal differences and rifts have emerged between Khanjani and Safi due to these accusations. Following the escalating conflict, the military regime’s intelligence agency (ISI) intervened immediately and temporarily reconciled them in an authoritative manner. After the ISI’s intervention, Commander Safi is now also cooperating with him for the release of the fighters.

In Nuristan, the main and sinister goal behind the recent activities of the nefarious triangle (the military regime, power bank fronts, and ISIS) was that Pakistan wanted to achieve its most important and secretive intelligence and strategic objectives in the sensitive and strategically significant districts of Nuristan through its puppets and proxies. However, thanks to the intelligence and reconnaissance efforts of the special security forces, all of the enemy’s major and complex plans were preemptively exposed and thwarted.
