The Eternal Enmity of the Opponents of the Caretaker Government with Peace

Enemies of peace, prosperity and security, the black stain on the forehead of this country’s history, puppets of foreign countries and those who have plunged the country into decades of sorrow; this group of people has neither sat at the same table with any government in Afghanistan nor expressed their consent to any type of government, whether it was a monarchy, Mujahideen, Taliban, republic or caretaker government. They all converge on a common point, which is their eternal enmity with a self-sufficient and secure country.

Afghanistan is a testing ground for former politicians and officials, their entire past is etched in the minds of the people; the opposing factions, groups and adversaries of the caretaker government who harbor animosity towards today’s peace, this is not new, but rather a significant part of their dark and unfortunate history. They have never allowed the country to progress, personal interests are paramount to them in any situation and their interests cannot be secured without unrest. It is this war that provides some people with jobs, money and power. Those warlords who have reached power through proxy wars do not want peace, because peace would mean the end of their interests.

The opponents of the caretaker government, despite their dark and bad history, who during the republic era engaged in corruption, discrimination and the monopolization of power, had the most corrupt period of governance, embezzling billions of dollars under the name of Afghanistan. Those people who today, under the guise of justice and inclusivity, are spreading insecurity in the country, if they were truly working for justice and inclusivity, they would have implemented these principles during the republic era. During their rule, the country was among the most insecure in the world, ranked first in corruption and was divided into factions, ethnicities and personal enclaves. Yet, those same people are now threatening the existing peace of the country under various pretexts.

There are many reasons why the opponents of the caretaker government disrupt the existing peace, but the most important one is the removal of warlords from power; those warlords who held the reins of power during the republic, whose customs revenues were distributed among them based on their affiliations, who were involved in bribery at the ministry level and whose ministers and governors were drowning in the swamp of administrative corruption, bribery and biases. A significant portion of international aid went into the pockets of government officials, contractors and private companies.

The smuggling of police and army logistical supplies, ammunition, fuel and equipment would be stolen, state and private lands would be seized by warlords and generals, warlords had private prisons, they would torture opponents and civilians after detaining them and some would be executed without trial. All these actions significantly contributed to the continuation of the war and increased the level of insecurity.

Now that former politicians and officials have fled the country, the nature of promoting insecurity has also changed. They now, like proxy groups, encourage young people within the country to carry out explosions among the general public for a few coins. Although this tactic has failed, they generally try to confuse public opinion and portray the country as insecure through these failed attacks.
