The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with a delegation of Bangladeshi scholars, businessmen, and industrialists and discussed investment and trade opportunities in Afghanistan with them.
During the meeting, Muttaqi, referring to the investment and trade opportunities that have emerged in Afghanistan, emphasized the need to strengthen political, economic, and cultural engagement between the two countries.
The Bangladeshi delegation also expressed satisfaction with its visit to Afghanistan and the situation in the country, saying that constructive engagement between the peoples and governments of the two countries could create opportunities for further expansion of relations.
The meeting expressed hope that such meetings and exchanges between the two countries would play an effective role in further developing bilateral relations.
