Every nation has times when the true stances of the people, political groups, and influential personalities become clear. The continuous violation of Afghanistan’s airspace by Pakistan, the killing and injuring of civilians, and the brutal bombings are among those sensitive and decisive events that reveal the level of commitment of every group and every Afghan.
Pakistan has repeatedly invaded the territory and people of Afghanistan, resulting in heavy personal and financial losses for innocent Afghans. In such circumstances, the people of Afghanistan hope that all political and social movements prioritize the honor, independence, and supreme interests of the country over collective and political calculations.
In response to these attacks, the Afghan government even conducted the “Radd al-Zulm” operations as a defensive measure and to avenge Afghan civilians, demonstrating that violations of Afghan airspace and the shedding of Afghan blood would not go unanswered, with further actions still being planned. This action, in the opinion of many Afghans, was a response to the defense of the country’s sovereignty and the people’s demands; however, on the other hand, the silence of the opposition and groups regarding various instances of Pakistan’s attacks and the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace has angered the entire populace.
The silence of the Afghan opposition groups, or in some cases, their comments against the Afghan government and in favor of Pakistan to please them, and their pro-Pakistan stances. Their friendship with Pakistan became evident from this point, as they even highlighted the story of Pakistan’s subjugation and deep ties under the guise of opposition. They also showed that Afghan blood is worthless to them, and only personal interests and political enmity in foreign espionage hold value.
The subservience of the opposition to Pakistan and their close ties have historical roots, starting from Ahmad Shah Massoud. In the year 1371 AH, when Kabul fell into the hands of the Mujahideen, at that time, the head of Pakistan’s intelligence network (ISI), Hamid Gul, requested intelligence documents from Ahmad Shah Masood; this news was reported by Frontier, a Pakistani newspaper, in 1992, stating that General Hamid Gul had traveled to Kabul to obtain Khad intelligence documents. The newspaper states: “Hamid Gul is collecting Khad documents about Pakistan” and adds that “Ahmad Shah Massoud handed over the documents to General Hamid Gul.” This action highlights the historical connections of the current opponents.
The opponents of Afghan government, under the shadow of the ISI and the savage Pakistani army, dream of Afghanistan’s destruction; a few days before these savage bombings by Pakistan, ISI officials held various meetings and gatherings with leaders of some opposing groups of the Afghan government, both inside and outside Pakistan. In these meetings, they renewed their previous commitments to negotiate over Afghanistan, destabilize Afghan territory, and spill Afghan blood.
The silence of opposing groups in the face of Pakistan’s invasions, bombings, and the killing of Afghan civilians is not coincidental; rather, it is a continuation of the same ties and commitments that have roots extending from long ago to the present day. Among them, the silence of some and the loyalty of others to Pakistan will be recorded in the public’s mind as betrayal.
The only goal of the opposing groups is fake power and money, whether thousands of Afghans are martyred in the country or the entire country is destroyed, it makes no difference to them. They have always adopted this one political behavior, playing with the fate of the country for their nefarious purposes.
Overall, it is clear that the main circle of Afghanistan’s enemies pursues their hidden agendas behind slogans, fake loyalties, and false claims. However, history has proven at every stage that colluding against the nation, sitting in the lap of foreigners, and seeking power in exchange for the blood of compatriots is never patriotism.
The Afghan people today understand better than ever who remained silent during the country’s pain and who, under the shadow of foreign bombs and projects, were busy with their political dealings. Therefore, it is the duty of the children of this land to stand united against all forms of slavery, sedition, and intelligence games, to defend their values and sovereignty, and to never allow others to once again hand over Afghanistan’s destiny to foreign powers under the guise of false slogans.
