General Sami Sadat was recognized by most Afghans after his famous interview with one of the media outlet; an interview that was published in April 2022, in which Sami Sadat claimed he was ready to return to Afghanistan and even set a time for his return, saying, “We will return to Afghanistan after Eid!”

By saying this, Sami Sadat lost the little trust he had among some of the defectors. He later talked about returning to Afghanistan again, but this time, with the difference that he didn’t set a specific time, lest he be disgraced in front of the world like last time.

Trump’s campaign slogans also played a significant role in giving hope to people like Sami Sadat; slogans that were believed in more by the American people and even Trump himself, which led them to dream of returning to Afghanistan, even under the wings of the United States.

But this sweet dream of Sadat’s finally turned into a bitter reality, and he found his place as a burnt-out pawn, nothing more. The matter that led him to speak the truth in a congratulatory message for the New Year, stating that our “Masters” colleagues, including the United States, had turned their backs on us.

In fact, America didn’t support Sadat and people like him in 2025, but from the very beginning of the republic’s collapse, these infamous figures were nothing more than burnt-out pawns. But accepting this truth was so difficult for the Sadat and people like them that they closed their eyes to the current reality and rejoiced their hearts with the empty slogans of this and that person.

Before we delve into why America turned its back on these figures, it’s necessary to write a few sentences, however brief, about Sadat’s claims in his congratulatory message, so that the truth, slander, and defamation within this individual’s words become clear to everyone.

At the beginning of his message, Sadat says that 2025 was a terrible year for Afghans. In response to this claim, it must be said that yes, without a doubt, 2025 was a terrible year for Afghans, but which Afghans? Those who are present in their country and work shoulder to shoulder with their government on the path to the prosperity of their land, or those who only carry the name of Afghan identity and were not only engaged in treason and corruption during the republic but are also restless now that they have been rejected by the very nation they betrayed, are they not?

2025 was a terrible year for these people, as the Afghan government was recognized by one of the world’s superpowers, namely Russia, that year. In the same year, not only did Afghanistan’s politics experience significant growth, but its economy also flourished, which caused distress among the fleeing traitors.

Sadaat accused the current Afghan government of killings, a claim that is worlds away from the current reality in the country. Indeed, which killings are the Sadats talking about? Why wasn’t even a single documentary report published on this topic in 2025?

Yes! In 2025, not only did no government killings occur, but nationwide security was one of the factors that prevented numerous killings! Have we forgotten that during the time of these plastic generals, our best young people were shot for a mobile phone, even one costing less than 10,000 Afghanis?

Since he abused the Afghan government on looting of Afghanistan’s wealth, one must ask: if the profits from mining and natural resource extraction do not go to the public treasury of these people, then how is the government’s annual budget prepared, especially without a single rupee of begging from other countries?

While during the time of these very individuals, despite billions of dollars pouring into the country from their patrons, not only was it not spent for Afghanistan, but in addition, Afghanistan’s mines and resources were turned into a source of income to fill the pockets of these individuals.

Regarding migrants, it must be said that not only the people of Afghanistan but the entire world can attest that the current government, despite all the existing challenges, has been able to control this major issue in the best possible way and even turn the challenge into an opportunity. As mentioned in the World Bank report, the return of migrants and the use of their skills were cited as one of the main reasons for Afghanistan’s economic growth. However, regarding the claim by the Sadat that the government murdered a number of immigrants, it is undoubtedly a ridiculous assertion, as no sane person would accept such nonsense.

However, regarding why, according to Sadat, the Americans were against them, it must be acknowledged that the flow of support from the US and Western countries for the infamous fugitives seems more like a hollow tale than field reality. Because these individuals had twenty years of republicanism to prove themselves to their masters, and they did prove that they were nothing more than corrupt and untrustworthy pawns. This caused the foreigners to flee without informing them, leaving them in the lurch.

The reason for America’s lack of renewed trust in figures like Sadat is also clear to everyone, as these individuals, despite round-the-clock social media advertising for four years and chanting the slogan of returning to Afghanistan, did not even come close to implementing their slogans in practice. Let alone putting them into practice!

This very fact, including internal divisions, lack of cohesion, and the inability to create a unified front against the Afghan government, convinced the United States and other regional and global powers that the best course of action against these worn-out pawns was to abandon them and leave them to their endless world of illusions.
