The Isolation of Afghanistan; Warlords’ Political Game with the People’s Fate

Hiding behind beautiful words and playing with people’s emotions are fundamental traits of afghan warlords; those who, with a friendly face and deceptive slogans, conceal the bitter realities of their corruption, oppression, and selfishness, and still, using the same tricks, pursue their personal interests.

Nowadays, while the suffering nation of Gaza is enduring the bitterest days and nights of their lives, and the entire Islamic Ummah, and even the nations of disbelief, mourn the plight of the defenseless children and the massacre of innocent men and women, a notorious figure like Atta Mohammad Noor even exploits the pain and suffering of this nation to achieve his desires and seeks to legitimize his false demands through this.

With the widespread dissemination of reports about the possibility of the United Nations interacting with the caretaker government, the majority of its opponents have felt a serious threat and each of them has expressed their opposition to this potential plan in various ways.

In the meantime, Atta Mohammad Noor, by posting on his X page, attempted to opportunistically exploit the humanitarian disaster in Gaza to deceive public opinion and, through an incorrect comparison between the situations in Afghanistan and Gaza, sought to unjustly criticize the United Nations for its silence regarding both.

Atta Mohammad Noor, after complaining about the political representation of the United Nations mission “UNAMA,” claimed that Afghanistan has been taken hostage by the Taliban, its people are deprived of human rights, and this land has become a haven for extremist groups; baseless and hollow claims that are similar to those repeatedly expressed by their new master, Pakistan.

He continued, selfishly calling for the cancellation of any normalization of relations between the United Nations and the caretaker government, labeling it a “betrayal of the people of Afghanistan.” This betrayal is not against the people, but rather a great injustice to the notorious warlords who have fed on the blood of this nation for years and, fearing complete obliteration from the political scene, cling to any pretext to keep their decaying names alive.

Since the warlords of yesterday and the opponents of today’s caretaker government are nestled in the embrace of their patrons, having never tasted the bitter flavor of poverty, destitution, and economic hardships themselves or their families, it is not surprising if they demand further isolation of Afghanistan to fulfill their wicked dreams; an isolation that will bring nothing but harm and suffering to the people of this land.

The opponents of the caretaker government, not only during the civil wars and the dark period of the republic that followed, inflicted countless hardships on the people of Afghanistan, but now that their dark shadow has lifted from the people, they remain restless and resort to any means to regain power in Afghanistan.

Without a doubt, the devastating consequences of Afghanistan’s political isolation have targeted the people of this land more than the government, creating numerous challenges in the areas of livelihood, healthcare services, education, employment, and migration.

Isolation tightens the noose of pressure on the daily lives of people and will extinguish the hope for improvement in the hearts of millions. Indeed, promoting isolationist policies, instead of harming the political structure, effectively takes the future and well-being of the Afghan people hostage.

This situation not only spreads poverty and unemployment but also creates the conditions for the migration of young people, economic stagnation, the halt of development projects, and the intensification of political repression. In the end, it is the people who bear the heavy burden of such destructive decisions.

In conclusion, it must be said that what is clear is that Atta Mohammad Noor and other opponents of the caretaker government, not out of concern for the people, but out of a thirst for power and political selfishness, have taken such actions and are trying to create obstacles to global engagement, pushing the country once again towards instability and crisis; while the people of Afghanistan have paid a heavy price for these ambitions and are no longer willing to be victims of the old power games of these warlords.
