In the world, republican systems are one of the best tools in the hands of the West to involve nations in trials and tribulations. The republican system puts the nation in a new trial every four or five years. With the arrival of the Americans in the country, the Afghan nation also faced various trials. Initially, when the foundation of the republic was being laid by the Americans in Afghanistan, the killers of the nation, warlords, those who fought over tribes, and enemies of Islam were placed at the foundation of the government.
Then, every remaining person at the head of the government complied with every demand of the Westerners. All the goals that the Westerners wanted in Afghanistan, whether it was secularism or absolute freedom, or the imposition of corrupt and shameless rulers, the establishment of a parliament, unrestricted freedom of the media, the legitimacy of churches, the creation of an army hostile to Islam, keeping the Western allies in power, buying off writers and thinkers, eliminating religious and spiritual values, building bars and brothels in the cities of the country, distracting the youth with fashion, games, and imitation of foreigners, granting freedom to deviant sects and ideologies, creating Western Islam, secularizing education, Westernizing the educational environment, promoting nationalism, capturing minds through the media, and hundreds and thousands of other negative activities and impacts, all of which tarnished the religious society of the Afghans.
The government’s incompetence, corruption, and the non-application of the law for everyone have reduced people’s trust in the system to zero. Political instability and continuous wars have deprived people of the opportunity for a peaceful and prosperous life. The continuation of wars and instability has caused deep psychological problems for people, such as anxiety, severe depression, and a sense of helplessness and hopelessness towards life. The main perpetrators of this war were foreign invaders and, alongside them, those circles that had their personal interests in the continuation of the illegitimate war.
Whenever the savage forces of the Republic would raid a region, no one among them was safe. They would blow up mosques with bombs, set fire to the guesthouses of homes, completely destroy vehicles and other belongings inside houses and the youth of that region, whether they were their opponents or not, would be killed. Even animals were not safe from their brutality. The Afghan nation began to think that we were gradually being killed one by one and for this reason, they gave up on life.
Poverty and destitution were rampant, social morals were declining day by day in urban areas, groups of thieves would stand in every alley, street, market, and bazaar. People were killed for a single mobile phone, traders’ children were kidnapped and ransom was demanded for their release. If the ransom was not paid, they were killed. The powerful would brazenly seize people’s lands, homes, and markets. When the oppressed would stand at the government’s doors, they would be ignored and warned by officials, leaving the oppressed with nothing but tears.
Wedding and celebration ceremonies were periodically bombed, the nation was severely oppressed in the republic era of every historical period, the female class in the cities became the target of democracy under the guise of education, and under the banner of women’s rights, a generation of women was raised whose demands were completely against the blessed religion of Islam and Afghan society.
The foreign occupiers were given the authority to change the curriculum; the curriculum serves as a mold, and the forms emerging from this mold (the new generation of students) were adjusted according to the preferences of the mold maker. Over time, the thoughts and beliefs of most of that generation’s youth were altered and used against Afghan society and the nation.
In short, every part, corner, and edge of Afghan society was not spared from the negative impacts of the republic; the Afghan nation suffered a hundred years’ worth of damage in twenty years, and numerous negative effects were inflicted on its social life. Addressing and resolving these issues now requires decades of effort.
