To create a comprehensive and complete unity, it is necessary for individuals to gather around a stable and strong center, with great and nation-centered goals, and to be obedient for the growth and expansion of their objectives. Additionally, to maintain their integrity against division, discord, ideological deviation, and unfortunate and despairing events, they should follow a reputable, compassionate, and benevolent authority and strive under its guidance to achieve their goals.
Until the rise of the current government in Afghanistan and the takeover of the country’s administration, there did not appear to be any significant rifts among the various parties and groups across the country, and no noticeable contentious differences were evident. Of course, the absence of these anomalies did not mean they were not present; rather, they temporarily pretended to be so in order to maintain their appearance and position.
But with the collapse of their rule, the loss of power, and their eventual flight to foreign countries, what was once hidden and less perceptible in its stench became apparent and tainted the political atmosphere.
Political parties and groups that had their leaders at the helm and, with the overt and covert support of Western and invading countries, had kept the machine of coalitions and convergence running for nearly two decades, after being stripped of power and wandering in the valley of bewilderment and destruction, one after another came to the field, tarnished each other’s reputation, exposed the injustices and plunders, and enumerated each other’s betrayals.
What has been heard in recent years about the conflicts and tensions among the fleeing opponents, and what circulates in the media, is only a glimpse of the realities they had hidden in the past to maintain power and gather financial and reputational benefits; because each of them had their own supporters and a circle of backers and did not accept the dominance of the other. Even when they spoke of unity and solidarity, it was nothing but collusion and conspiracy.
Now that each one is left alone and unsupported in a corner, they chant slogans of unity; but on the other hand, they exacerbate their internal differences. Each one blames the other and tries to appear innocent and blameless.
If we seek the main cause of these differences, we will still arrive at the same initial point; namely, the absence of a central figure, the lack of a common ideal, and the lack of a reliable structure for gathering.
If sometimes one joins hands with another and speaks of unity and a bright future for this noble nation, in reality, it is a short-term conspiracy to catch their breath for a moment and, at any cost, keep themselves afloat.
