The Strategic Relationship Between Pakistan and the Resistance Front

The recent airstrikes on civilians in Paktika and Nangarhar by the Pakistani military regime were not just a security incident, an aggression, or a crime, but a painful act against the goodwill of the Afghans. The children who were sweetly asleep at night, the mothers who hoped for safety under the roof of their homes, and the elderly who sought peace in their final moments of life were all victims of the Pakistani aircraft’s bombs, and their safety was taken away. While the relatives of the victims were still searching for the lost women and children, the expectation was that every Afghan, especially those groups and politicians who have chosen grand political titles for themselves, would take a clear and firm stand against this tragedy.

But instead of condemning this crime, some members and supporters of these political movements, particularly the Resistance Front, chose to justify it. They spread such perceptions thru social media that the attacks were “targeted” and aimed at Pakistani militants; even false lists were circulated to strengthen this narrative. But it became clear from the scene that the targets of the attack were mosques and homes, and the victims were civilians. Nevertheless, the supporters of the Resistance Front praised Pakistan’s criminal attacks.

Distorting the truth about civilian casualties is not just a political mistake but a moral injustice to the victims’ families and an addition of another dark line in their political history. The members of the Resistance Front demonstrated that political rivalry holds a higher value for them than human life, and they are ready to negotiate with anyone over it.

Voice of Hindukush had previously published information that members of the Resistance Front are being transferred to Pakistan due to the tightening restrictions around them in Iran, based on secret agreements, and the Pakistani military regime is accommodating them there for certain specific purposes. Recently, the defensive positions of the members of the Resistance Front regarding Pakistan’s crimes have reaffirmed this information and shown that the Resistance Front, after being disappointed by other countries, has sought refuge in Pakistan’s embrace and is ready to make any deal at the cost of all its values in exchange for self-preservation.

In your opinion, does the Resistance Front hide its loyalty to Pakistan from the Afghan government in enmity?
How long will the friendship between Pakistan and the Resistance Front last?
Has the Resistance Front not prioritized the pro-Pakistan stance over national interests?
Can undermining Islamic and national values be a means of maintaining intelligence connections?
