Once the closure is completed, consular services for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be provided through the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and other U.S. diplomatic missions. Separately, some media outlets have reported that France has also decided to close its consulate in Karachi. However, French authorities have not issued an official statement confirming or providing further details about the reported decision.
