Trump: Dealing with Russia is Easier than with Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that the United States is making significant progress with Russia and that reaching an agreement with Moscow may be easier than with Kyiv.

This comment came just hours after Trump had indicated that he was considering imposing large-scale sanctions and tariffs on Russia until a ceasefire agreement is reached between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump further stated that if anyone other than Putin were in power, he would have taken the same approach with Ukraine.

It is worth noting that since Trump assumed office, U.S.-Russia relations have been improving. Just a few days ago, Trump stated that the U.S. is considering easing sanctions on Russia.
