Al Jazeera, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), reported that a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck western Iran on Monday morning.
Iranian media reported the first earthquake, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, struck near Kouzaran in Kermanshah Province at 7:13 a.m. local time. Five minutes later, a second, stronger earthquake measuring 5.7 struck the same area.
There have been no official reports of casualties or significant damage.
This comes as another magnitude-5 earthquake also struck Iran two days ago.
