The Ministry of Water and Energy says that work has begun on two electricity transmission projects in the Qosh Tepa and Darzab districts of Jawzjan Province, funded by the Afghan government with a budget of 1 billion, 886 million, and 470 thousand Afghanis.
The inauguration ceremony of these projects was attended by the Minister of Water and Energy, Mullah Mohammad Younis Akhundzada, the Deputy Minister for Water Affairs, the Governor of Jawzjan, tribal elders, and local residents.
These projects include the construction of substations with a capacity of 25 MVA for the Qosh Tepa and Darzab districts of Jawzjan.
According to the Ministry of Water and Energy, the projects will be completed within three years, providing reliable electricity to 82,200 people.
