Tom Barrack, the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, has stated that Hezbollah cannot be eliminated through military force, stressing that the group is deeply embedded within Lebanon’s political and social structure.
He noted that Washington’s objective is to weaken Hezbollah in order to enable the Lebanese state to establish full authority throughout the country.
The remarks come as Israel continues to press for Hezbollah’s disarmament, while the group dismisses such discussions as futile.
Hezbollah maintains its armed struggle against the Zionist regime, with its fighters currently engaged in clashes with Zionist forces in southern Lebanon.
