According to international media reports, US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has said that Washington will mediate talks between working-level representatives of Russia and Ukraine on November 10 and 11 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Witkoff said the talks will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian assistance, and the next steps towards achieving peace.
In a post on his X account, he added that US negotiators will also meet with representatives of European countries and NATO in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, during the current week.
According to Witkoff, discussions in Brussels will focus on security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe’s post-war security architecture, and economic assistance for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
