International media report that Russia launched large-scale drone and ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, early this morning (Thursday).
According to the reports, at least eight people were killed and around 40 others were injured in the attacks.
The strikes also damaged dozens of residential buildings and triggered fires in several parts of the city.
Russian officials said the attacks were carried out in response to Ukraine’s recent drone strikes on Russian civilian targets.
