The UN Security Council has extended the mandate of peacekeeping forces in Lebanon until December 2026.

In its resolution, the Council urged the Zionist regime of Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon and called on Lebanon’s Ministry of Defense to deploy security forces in the areas vacated by Zionist troops.

Thousands of UN peacekeepers have been deployed in southern Lebanon since the ceasefire between the Zionist regime and Hezbollah.
