The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has confirmed that three civilians were martyred and four others injured as a result of airstrikes in Kunar.
UNAMA said that the early-morning airstrikes carried out on September 21 martyred a woman, a girl, and a man, while four other people were injured.
UNAMA added that since the beginning of 2026, it had recorded more than 1,100 incidents involving the killing and injury of innocent civilians in Afghanistan as a result of armed violence by Pakistan’s military regime.
The United Nations once again stressed the need to comply with international humanitarian law and called for the necessary precautions to be taken to prevent civilian casualties.
This comes as Pakistan’s military regime once again targeted the homes of innocent Afghans last night, seeking to conceal its domestic failures and insecurity through such acts of brutality.
