The United Nations spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, announced that the Zikim crossing into the Gaza Strip has reopened for humanitarian aid after remaining closed for 40 days.
He further stated that, following the reopening, international aid has started flowing directly into northern Gaza.
Dujarric further noted that the delivery of aid to Gaza has been slowed by delays in customs procedures, shortages of cargo inspection equipment, and restrictions imposed by the Zionist regime on humanitarian organizations.
