The War Zone reported that US Air Force B-52 bombers have left the Royal Air Force’s RAF Fairford base in the United Kingdom, marking the end of their mission in the Iran conflict.
According to the report, the aircraft departed as the United States and Iran continue efforts toward a peace agreement. The ceasefire remains fragile, with occasional reciprocal attacks, although diplomatic engagement continues.
The report further noted that, despite these sporadic exchanges, no large-scale bombing campaign against Iran has been carried out since the ceasefire took effect on April 8, suggesting that hostilities have so far remained limited in scope.
