The United States has urged its citizens living in several Middle Eastern countries to leave as soon as possible amid escalating regional tensions, according to international media reports.
The advisory applies to American citizens in Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, the U.S. Department of State urged Americans to consider departing the region while commercial travel remains available or, at a minimum, ensure they are prepared to leave quickly if the security situation deteriorates.
