Why do the Main Perpetrators of Crises Mislead the People!?

Afghanistan has long faced various political, economic, and social challenges and crises. In 2001, with the establishment of the Republic’s rule, the people of this country hoped for prosperity, stability, and peace. However, the reality is that not only were opportunities not utilized properly in twenty years, but they were also transformed into crises and chaos due to the occupation and the mismanagement of former officials.

Foreign occupiers were violators of independence and also the cause of crises, but the rulers of the fallen republic are considered the main cause of the country’s disasters more than anyone else. Foreign forces had their own specific goals behind the occupation, but more than anyone else, the former rulers were responsible for the failures and inefficiencies in the country’s crisis. They worked sincerely to plunder and loot their own country, but when questioned, they would add their share of responsibility to the foreign forces to hide their failures and inefficiencies, and they would largely blame the people’s problems on them.

The individuals who ruled under the title of “republic” and who came to power under various political names and forms were unable to create fundamental policies and mechanisms for the country that would pave the way for stability, justice, and progress. Many opportunities that were provided over the past twenty years have been lost or disrupted due to the mismanagement and corruption of the same rulers.

Currently, a common tactic among former officials of the fallen republic is to still blame their failures on foreign occupiers while also blaming their opponents (the Taliban) for the war. This is despite the fact that they themselves took no fundamental steps to solve the problems and, thru their mismanagement, plunged the country deeper into crisis and turmoil day by day.

Now that the country is independent, the presence of foreigners is over, and the caretaker government is in power; the same former rulers who are now waging political struggle against the country under the opposition groups are blaming the caretaker government for the crises to deceive the people and want to portray themselves as innocent to the public. However, the people have understood how much they have betrayed the country.

The first step in solving a problem is to acknowledge it. Until the rulers of the fallen republic acknowledge their past failures and problems, offer the people real and clear solutions to their problems, and also stop serving foreigners within the ranks of proxy groups, the historical injustice cannot be remedied. Former officials can not convince the public with a policy of denial and false pride, nor can they identify others as the main cause of failures.
